NOVELTY - A slow-release water purifying agent comprises 8-12 pts. wt. metal oxide particles, 30-40 pts. wt. porous carbon-containing material, 10-15 pts. wt. surfactant, 35-40 pts. wt. polyol, 40-50 pts. wt. polymer material and 1-8 pts. wt. organic sodium salt. USE - Slow-release water purifying agent is used in water processing industries. ADVANTAGE - The water purifying agent has excellent water purification effect and water treatment effect in an open water treatment plant, enables continuous water purification, which reduces the treatment cost and secondary pollution, and has excellent chemical oxygen demand and oil removal rate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the water purifying agent, which involves (s1) mixing and grinding the polymer material, porous carbon-containing material and metal oxide particles uniformly, adding mixed surfactant, heating and stirring at 60-75 ℃ for 60-120 minutes, and (s2) adding polyol and organic sodium salt, stirring, and granulating.
