NOVELTY - Nylon 6 fiber comprises skin-core structure comprising a core layer and a skin layer, where skin layer comprises a 1-3 wt.% graphene oxide antibacterial agent, and nylon 6. The core layer comprises 5-10 wt.% melamine-based graphene flame retardant, and nylon 6. The preparation of graphene oxide antibacterial agent comprises adding graphene oxide into water and stirring to obtain a graphene oxide suspension with a pH of 8-9, adding a water-soluble polyquaternium salt into the graphene suspension to obtain the first suspension, shaking ultrasonically, cleaning, filtering, and drying. The preparation of melamine-based graphene flame retardant comprises adding graphene oxide into a dimethylformamide solvent, mixing and vortexing to obtain a second suspension, adding second suspension into the melamine-based flame retardant, sonicating, mixing again to obtain a third suspension, heating, refluxing in water bath at 88-92 degrees C for 22-26 hours, cleaning with ethanol, filtering, and drying. USE - Used as nylon 6 fiber. ADVANTAGE - The fiber has excellent antibacterial and flame retardancy, solves problem of poor spinnability and physical and mechanical properties, applies graphene oxide in combination with melamine-based flame retardants and polyquaternium as additives to solve problem of poor dispersion of graphene and improves physical and mechanical properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing nylon 6 fiber, comprising (i) mixing graphene oxide antibacterial agent with nylon 6 chips, extruding melting by a twin-screw extruder and mixing at a high speed to obtain a skin-penetratable melt, where amount of graphene oxide antibacterial agent is 1-3 wt.% and nylon 6; (ii) mixing melamine graphene flame retardant with nylon 6 chips, melt-extruding through a twin-screw extruder, mixing at a high speed to obtain a spinnable melt of the core layer, where weight of melamine graphene flame retardant is 5-10%, and nylon 6; and (iii) spinning the skin spinnable melt and the core spinnable melt into the skin core composite assembly, carrying out filament molding, spinning at 230-250 degrees C at 4000-5000 meter/minute, and drafting using drafting device.
