NOVELTY - Anode active material comprises a conductive base material and an active material distributed on the conductive base material. The active material has a core-shell structure, the core-shell structure is composed of a core layer material and a shell layer material. The conductive base material includes a carbon material, the core layer material includes a phosphate-based sodium salt material, and the shell material includes metal oxide. USE - The anode active material is useful in electrochemical device for electronic device (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The anode active material: have improved conductivity, gram capacity, kinetic properties and cycle performance. The method: reduces occurrence of side reactions.
