NOVELTY - System (100) comprises at least two chambers (102) to prepare two separate solutions, each with 0.2 g graphite powder and sodium nitrate in sulfuric acid as a solvent while stirring in a hot plate magnetic stirrer (104); an ice bath (106) to cool solution to below 13 degrees C by slowly adding 1.2 g potassium permanganate; a heating element (108) to heat solution at 96 degrees C while adding 56 ml deionized water after cooling solution to room temperature before final addition of hydrogen peroxide; a centrifuge to repeatedly wash solution by centrifuging with 10% hydrochloric acid solution and deionized water to produce precipitate; a hot air oven to dry precipitate at 60 degrees C for 5 hours to obtain final graphene oxide powder; a vacuum furnace to produce thermally reduced graphene oxide by filling graphene oxide powder in alumina boat, which is in vacuum furnace at 700 degrees C for 5 hours; and ultrasonic device in which mixture of paraffin and exfoliated reduced graphene oxide is sonicated for 60 minutes. USE - The system is useful to produce paraffin-based phase change material composite material for latent heat storage system for thermal energy (claimed).
