▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Apparatus (34) comprises an electric arc furnace and a feeder that directs solid carbon dioxide into an electrical arc generated by the electric arc furnace. USE - The apparatus is useful for producing high yields of carbon nanostructures without forming magnesium oxide (claimed), where the carbon nanostructures include buckminsterfullerenes, carbon nanotubes and graphene including multilayer graphene. ADVANTAGE - The apparatus utilizes the control system which maximizes a synthesis rate of carbon nanostructures, and favors the production of carbon nanotubes and graphene over other nanostructures by a predetermined ratio without producing magnesium oxide (all claimed).
