NOVELTY - Method for preparing metal oxide/hard carbon/rGO cathode material involves (a) washing the Triarrhena lutarioripariawith distilled water, drying to remove the excess water on the surface, then taking the cleaned Triarrhena lutarioriparia, calcining under the protective atmosphere, heat preserving, naturally cooling, using alkali solution to treat the Triarrhena lutarioripariacalcined product, filtering and drying, adding acid solution to further process, washing and drying, (b) dissolving the ammonium thiosulfate and metal-based sulfate (MSO4) in water to obtain a mixed solution, performing hydrothermal reaction, repeatedly cleaning the obtained sample and vacuum drying to obtain metal oxide and (c) adding the hard carbon material and metal oxide into the graphene oxide (GO) prepared by Hummers' method to obtain the mixed solution and adding reducing agent to reduce, ultrasonically dispersing, vacuum filtering and drying the mixture to obtain final product. USE - The cathode material is useful for sodium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: uses Triarrhena lutarioriparia as carbon source; has large yield; is economical and is easy to be produced in large scale. The cathode material has simple technique, excellent cycle stability and multiplying power performance and has high capacity and long service life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a MOx/hard carbon/rGO cathode material, prepared by above method.
