▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Epoxy curing agent comprises: (a) nano graphene platelets; (b) a chemical functional group having multiple ends with a first end being bonded to a nano graphene platelet and at least a second end reactive with an epoxy resin; and (c) reactive molecules acting as a primary cross-linking agent for the epoxy resin; where the nano graphene platelets are dispersed in the reactive molecules and the proportion of the platelets is no less than 0.01% by weight based on the total weight of the curing agent. USE - The curing agent is useful for thermoset resins. ADVANTAGE - The curing agent provides a cost-effective, simple, and easily achievable approach to achieving good nano graphene platelet dispersion in epoxy resins and good interfacial bonding between nano graphene platelets and the epoxy matrix. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are: (1) an epoxy resin mixed with the curing agent; (2) a thermoset resin mixed with the curing agent; (3) an epoxy resin matrix composite comprising a resin reacted with the curing agent; and (4) a thermoset resin matrix composite comprising a resin reacted with the curing agent.
