NOVELTY - Anode material comprises an inner core treated with a residual alkali dissolving agent and a shell covering the surface of the inner core, where the inner core comprises a layered oxide, and the outer shell is a composite cladding layer. The residual alkali dissolving agent comprises an organic solvent. USE - The anode material is useful for sodium-ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The anode material has extremely low residual alkali content in the layered oxide, and has improved gas production performance and cycle stability.
