NOVELTY - Preparing size-controllable graphene oxide by clean oxidation technology comprises e.g. (a) preparation of graphite oxide: using crystalline flake graphite as raw material to prepare expandable graphite product, adding the expandable graphite product into a mixed solution of aqueous ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, carrying out hydrothermal reaction, and washing graphite oxide product; (b) preparation of graphene oxide dispersion liquid: adding graphite oxide product into a solvent and ultrasonically dispersing; and (c) preparation of graphene oxide powder: drying the graphene oxide dispersion. USE - The method is useful for preparing size-controllable graphene oxide by clean oxidation technology (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method does not need to use strong acid and heavy metal oxidizer, has simple and environment-friendly post-processing, low cost raw material, and simple preparation and which is a promising method for the preparation of graphene oxide. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing size-controllable graphene oxide by clean oxidation technology comprises (a) preparation of graphite oxide: using crystalline flake graphite as raw material to prepare expandable graphite product, adding the expandable graphite product into a mixed solution of aqueous ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, carrying out hydrothermal reaction to obtain the graphite oxide product, and washing the graphite oxide product with deionized water until the pH of the aqueous phase is 7; (b) preparation of graphene oxide dispersion liquid: adding the graphite oxide product into a solvent and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain an oxidized graphene dispersion liquid; and (c) preparation of graphene oxide powder: drying the obtained graphene oxide dispersion to prepare an oxidized graphene powder
