NOVELTY - The electrical surface heating mat (5) has an electrically conductive plastic unit and an upper electrode (2) and a lower electrode (3) to which an electrical voltage is applied. One of the two electrodes is flexible and thin spacers are applied between the upper electrode and the plastic unit and/or the lower electrode and the plastic unit at defined distances, so that no current flows in the unloaded state. The flexible electrode bends when loaded and forms a material contact with the electrically conductive plastic unit, and thus a local flow of electricity and heating is realized. The electrically conductive plastic unit is intrinsically conductive with doped poly-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, polyaniline, polypyrrole or polythiophene. The electrically conductive plastic unit is made conductive by adding additives such as carbon black, graphite, graphene, metal particles and carbon nanotubes. USE - Electrical surface heating mat such as wall heating, underfloor heating, mirror heating, terrarium heating, waterbed heating, heated floor mat for heating locally of people, animals or objects. ADVANTAGE - The energy compared to heating over the entire surface, is saved. The local heat generation works without any external electronic control or regulation.
