NOVELTY - Providing hydrogenated sp2 carbon allotrope involves providing a hydrogenated sp2 carbon allotrope, and then releasing hydrogen gas from the carbon allotrope. USE - Method for providing hydrogenated sp2 carbon allotrope and releasing hydrogen gas from carbon allotrope. ADVANTAGE - The method increases volumetric and gravimetric storage capacity for hydrogen, efficiently and optimally extracts hydrogen gas on demand from the material in a storage vessel, and provides efficient and sustained fuel cell operation for high purity Fk gas. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an apparatus, which comprises a vessel for containing a hydrogenated sp2 carbon allotrope, a fuel cell capable of using hydrogen gas a fuel, and a tube for transporting hydrogen gas from the vessel to the fuel cell. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a graphical representation depicting thermogravimetric analysis-mass spectrometry (TGA MS) of remaining hydrogen chemically stored in hydrogenated material.
