NOVELTY - A modified activated carbon contains charcoal, sodium tripolyphosphate, silicic acid, clay, alginate, p-toluenesulfonic acid, graphene, cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, modified diatomite, and balance water, in which modified diatomite is obtained by e.g. taking diatomaceous earth, jade, nano-carbon, sodium benzoate, angelica oil, gamma -aminoethyl- gamma -aminopropyl(methyl)dimethoxyl silane (silane coupling agent KH550), sodium selenite, and lily flour as raw materials, placing jade and diatomite into calciner, removing, soaking in hydrochloric acid, filtering, washing with water, and drying. USE - Modified activated carbon for water treatment, deodorizer, decolorizing and catalyst carrier. ADVANTAGE - Product is non-disintegrating, high adsorption capacity, and has low manufacturing cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A modified activated carbon contains 100-120 pts. wt. charcoal, 8-10 pts. wt. sodium tripolyphosphate, 8-10 pts. wt. silicic acid, 20-30 pts. wt. clay, 4-6 pts. wt. alginate, 3-5 pts. wt. p-toluenesulfonic acid, 2-4 pts. wt. graphene, 2-4 pts. wt. cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, 4-5 pts. wt. modified diatomite, and balance water, in which modified diatomite is obtained by taking 100-110 pts. wt. diatomaceous earth, 20-24 pts. wt. jade, 1-2 pts. wt. nano-carbon, 1-2 pts. wt. sodium benzoate, 1-2 pts. wt. angelica oil, 1-2 pts. wt. gamma -aminoethyl- gamma -aminopropyl(methyl)dimethoxyl silane (silane coupling agent KH550), 1-2 pts. wt. sodium selenite, and 2-3 pts. wt. lily flour as raw materials, placing jade and diatomite into calciner, calcining at 550-570 degrees C for 3-4 hours, removing, soaking in 12-15% hydrochloric acid solution for 4-5 hours, removing by filtering, washing with water, drying, adding water along with nano-carbon, sodium selenite, sodium benzoate, and lily flour, grinding slurry, spray drying to obtain dried powder, adding remaining raw materials, mixing and milling to diperse. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of modified activated carbon which involves subjecting clay into carbonization furnace, carbonizing at 700-800 degrees C for 3-4 hours, taking out charcoal, mixing sodium tripolyphosphate, silicate, sodium alginate, p-toluenesulfonic, graphene, and cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, adding balance water to obtain slurry, heating at 80-90, grinding for 2-3 hours to obtain 200-300 mesh slurry, washing with water to neutrality, drying, dispersing, and mixing with other raw materials.
