NOVELTY - Silica-coated magnetic graphene hollow microsphere is a core-shell structure, where the magnetic graphene hollow microsphere is a core, and the silica is shell. USE - Silica-coated magnetic graphene hollow microsphere. ADVANTAGE - The silica-coated magnetic graphene hollow microsphere has large specific surface area, low density, acid corrosion resistance, impedance matching performance and excellent radar wave absorption performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing silica-coated magnetic graphene hollow microsphere, which involves: (A) dispersing graphene oxide, deionized water, liquid alcohol and water-soluble polymer ultrasonically; (B) adding metal salt with stirring uniformly to obtain dispersion; (C) spray drying the obtained dispersion to obtain a powdery metal oxide-loaded graphene oxide hollow microsphere precursor; (D) calcining the graphene oxide hollow microsphere precursor loaded with metal salt at 350-400 degrees C in an inert protective atmosphere for 0.5-2 hours; (E) heating at 500-900 degrees C for 3-6 hours; (F) cooling at room temperature to obtain magnetic graphene hollow microspheres; (G) mixing liquid alcohol, deionized water and 25-28% ammonia water to obtain a mixed liquid; (H) dispersing the magnetic graphene hollow microspheres in a mixed solution under stirring; (I) adding dropwise orthosilicate for 6-10 hours to obtain a reaction product; (J) removing the reaction product from the supernatant; and (K) washing, separating and drying to obtain the silica-coated magnetic graphene hollow microspheres. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a Scanning electron microscopic image of the magnetic graphene hollow microsphere loaded with iron (III) oxide.
