NOVELTY - Preparation of inorganic mixed smoke-inhibiting flame retardant, involves suspending soluble zinc salt in 0.4-0.6 mg/mL graphene oxide suspension in a concentration of 2.5-9 mmol/L, stirring for 15-20 minutes, adding equimolar soluble stannate, stirring for 30-40 minutes to obtain a precursor solution, hydrothermally reacting the precursor solution at 120-160 degrees C for 6-12 hours, cooling, filtering, water-washing, and drying. USE - Preparation of inorganic mixed smoke-inhibiting flame retardant useful for preparing flame-retardant materials e.g. flame-retardant epoxy resin materials (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple preparation of inorganic mixed smoke-inhibiting flame retardant under easy-to-control reaction conditions with easy scale up. The obtained product has excellent flame retardance effect, and provides epoxy materials having excellent smoke-inhibiting function and flame retardance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for flame-retardant epoxy resin material comprising 76-82 wt.% epoxy resin, 14-16 wt.% curing agent, and 3-9 wt.% flame retardant.
