NOVELTY - A graphene fiber (200) comprises a set of intercalated graphene sheets including a set of large-sized graphene sheets (110) and a set of small-sized graphene sheets (130), where greater than or equal to 1 set of small-sized graphene sheets is disposed between greater than or equal to 2 of the set of large-sized graphene sheets. USE - A graphene fiber. ADVANTAGE - The graphene fibers have high thermal and electrical conductivities and high mechanical strength. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of graphene fiber with aligned structures which involves mixing an amount of dispersion of large-sized graphene oxide (LGGO) and an amount of a dispersion of small-sized graphene oxide (SMGO), spinning mixed LGGO/SMGO dispersions to form graphene oxide (GO) fiber, and annealing GO fiber at high temperatures for carbonization and graphitization.
