NOVELTY - Manufacture of graphene powder by electrochemically exfoliating graphite involves fabricating graphite rods by mixing vein graphite with polymer binder, compressing with a mold to obtain graphite rods, annealing the rods at 500 degrees C to remove the polymer binder, and adding electrolyte and applying 10V between the rods and electrode for 1 hour, heating the electrolyte at 20-80 degrees C, filtering and washing the powders on the graphite rods with water and isopropanol, and drying powder. USE - Manufacture of graphene powder used in energy storage device e.g. batteries and supercapacitors. ADVANTAGE - The method produces graphene powder with high monolayer yield, easily and quickly.
