NOVELTY - A diamagnetism system comprises a metallic foil or a first substrate (106) having greater than or equal to 1 surface that is coated by a metallic layer; a second substrate (108) having greater than or equal to 1 surface that is coated by graphene (110); and a coating of an alkane (112) placed on the second substrate and metallic foil or the first substrate. USE - A diamagnetism system for magnetic screening applications, levitation applications, and/or energy storage applications. ADVANTAGE - The system provides an ideal diamagnetism composition at room temperature. The system exhibits the Meissner effect for superconductivity applications and quantum effects. The system has properties of diamagnetism at room temperature rather than at cryogenic temperatures, enabling efficient and wide-spread commercial applicability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) diamagnetism apparatus (100) comprising a substrate (108) having greater than or equal to 1 single layer of graphene (110); a metallic foil that is parallel to the substrate; and alkane (112) that wets the graphene and the metallic foil; and (2) manufacturing a diamagnetism apparatus which involves forming a first substrate or a metallic foil; if a first substrate is used, depositing a first metallic layer on greater than or equal to 1 surface of the first substrate; forming a second substrate; transferring graphene to a surface of the second substrate; and greater than or equal to 1 of coating or immersing the first substrate or metallic foil and second substrate with an alkane.
