NOVELTY - A battery comprises at least two electrodes (A) and (B), an electrolyte interposed between the two electrodes, and acoustic device(s) configured to generate acoustic stream during a charging and/or a discharging of the battery. The charging of the battery triggers cations from the electrode (A) to travel through the electrolyte and deposit on the electrode (B). The discharging of the battery triggers cations from the electrode (B) to travel through the electrolyte and deposit on the electrode (A). The acoustic stream drives a mixing and/or a turbulent flow of the electrolyte. The mixing and/or the turbulent flow of the electrolyte increases a charge rate and/or a discharge rate of the battery by at least increasing a diffusion rate of cations and/or anions. The mixing and/or the turbulent flow further prevents a formation of dendrites on the electrode (A) and/or the electrode (B) by at least homogenizing a distribution of the cations and/or anions in the electrolyte. USE - Battery e.g. lithium metal battery and lithium iron phosphate battery. ADVANTAGE - The battery has suppressed dendrite formation with minimal power consumption (e.g. approximately 10 m.Wh/cm2), and steep voltage drop by using acoustic device. The battery has high discharge capacity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for operation of the battery.
