NOVELTY - Method for developing an anti-corrosive graphene coating on a substrate involves preparing a seedlac solution in 2-4C alcohol, dipping the substrate into the seedlac solution for one or more times, heating the substrate in a temperature of 400-1200 degrees C under controlled atmosphere of argon/nitrogen/argon-hydrogen/nitrogen-hydrogen at the flow rate of 100-500 sccm for 10-120 minutes, and dipping the coated substrate in a vegetable oil having a density 0.7-0.9 g/cm3 followed by curing the coated sheet in the temperature of 250-550 degrees C for 1-120 minutes. USE - Method for developing anti-corrosive graphene coating on substrate e.g. metallic sheet, preferably oxidized steel surface (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple and environmentally-friendly process for developing an anti-corrosive graphene coating on substrate. The coating formed from the method does not peel-off from the metal sheet by bending 180 degrees . The contact angle of steel coated with graphene is increased up to 50 degrees . The metal surface coated with graphene has corrosion rate reduced by more than 10-3 times. The life time of coated metal is more than 150 hours in salt spray test. The graphene oxide coating can be painted using commercial available paint on the metal surface. The anti-corrosive coating is made on any form of metal sheet over a large area.
