NOVELTY - Formaldehyde scavenger comprises 1-10 pts. wt. polyol, 0.1-2 pts. wt. modified nano-titanium dioxide, 0.2-5 pts. wt. isocyanate, 0.05-1 pts. wt. small molecular chain extender, 0.05-1 pts. wt. hydrophilic chain extender, 0.05-1 pts. wt. neutralizing agent, 0.01-1 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 0.05-1 pts. wt. polyamine compound and 2-80 pts. wt. water. USE - The formaldehyde scavenger is useful for tanning (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The scavenger removes free formaldehyde in leather for long time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the formaldehyde scavenger, comprising (i) taking 1-10 pts. wt. nano titanium dioxide in the reaction vessel, adding 0.01-1 pts. wt. aminosilane coupling agent, 0.01-1 pts. wt. epoxy silane coupling agent, 10-100 pts. wt. water, 20-200 pts. wt. ethanol, stirring and dispersing, adjusting the pH to 4-12, ultrasonically dispersing for 3-30 minutes, reacting for 1-10 hours at 20-60 degrees C, filtering, washing, and drying to obtain modified nano titanium dioxide; (ii) adding 1-10 pts. wt. polyol into the reactor after dehydration treatment, and adding 0.2-5 pts. wt. isocyanate, performing pre-polymerization at 70-100 degrees C for 0.5-4 hours, cooling to 60-70 degrees C, adding 0-8 pts. wt. acetone to dilute, 0.05-1 pts. wt. small molecule chain extender, and reacting for 2-6 hours, adding 0.05-1 pts. wt. hydrophilic chain extender, reacting for 0.5-4 hours, cooling down to 40-60 degrees C, adding 0.05-1 pts. wt. neutralizer for 10-100 minutes, controlling the temperature at 25-45 degrees C, adding 0.1-2 pts. wt. modified nano-titanium dioxide and 0.01-1 pts. wt. graphene oxide, stirring and reacting at high speed for 10-120 minutes, controlling the temperature at 25-45 degrees C, adding 2-80 pts. wt. water while stirring at high speed, emulsifying and dispersing for 0.5-4 hours, adding 0.01-1 pts. wt. polyamine compound, controlling the temperature at 25-45 degrees C, stirring the reaction for 10-120 minutes, and removing the acetone in the emulsion.
