NOVELTY - Preparing composite carbon material, comprises (i) dispersing carbon nanotubes, surfactant and glucose in deionized water, and performing hydrothermal reaction to obtain hydrothermal carbon; (ii) drying hydrothermal carbon and then carbonizing, mixing carbonized hydrothermal carbon with potassium hydroxide and activating to obtain a crude composite carbon material; and (iii) washing the crude composite carbon material with water to neutrality and drying to obtain the composite carbon material. USE - The method is useful for preparing composite carbon material. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and convenient for industrial production. The composite carbon material is capable of absorbing lithium iodide, inhibiting the shuttle effect of lithium iodine in the battery, reducing the self-discharge of lithium ion battery, improving the rate characteristics and circulating stability, selecting a number of carbon material combination, greatly increasing the electrode active material between the contact, improving conductivity, convenient for battery fast charging and discharging, and is easy to obtain.
