NOVELTY - The converter has a resonance pattern layer (1) formed by periodically arranging multiple metal blocks (9) and a strip resonator arranged by light-sensitive silicon blocks (8). A graphene pattern layer (3) is provided with a single-layer carbon atom graphene plate and multiple periodically arranged structure units that are etched on the single-layer carbon atom graphene plate. Each structure unit is provided with four opening semi-circular grooves (11) that are connected by a cross-shaped groove (10). The cross-shaped groove is connected with the cross-shaped groove by a bolt. USE - Switchable broadband multi-functional metamaterial absorber/polarization converter. ADVANTAGE - The converter can work at broadband perfect absorption of electromagnetic wave, wide frequency linear polarization wave conversion and wide frequency circular polarized wave conversion three modes and can be freely adjusted and controlled.
