▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Synthesizing graphene oxide flakes involves heating neat form of seedlac or its derivatives under an inert atmosphere having gas flow rate ranging from 100 sccm to 500 sccm to obtain functionalized graphite oxide (fGrO); heating the functionalized graphite oxide (fGrO) obtained in presence of air having flow rate ranging from 100 sccm to 500 sccm to obtain graphite oxide (GrO); and grinding the graphite oxide (GrO) to obtain the graphene oxide flakes. USE - Method for synthesizing graphene oxide flakes. ADVANTAGE - The method employs neat form of seedlac or its derivatives as carbon source for direct conversion of graphene flakes having varying carbon to oxygen ratio selected from reduced graphene oxide flakes and graphene oxide flakes. The method is very simple and easily adapted for large scale production of graphene flakes.
