NOVELTY - Heat dissipation system comprises a heat spreader comprising a unitary graphene monolith comprising closely packed and chemically bonded parallel graphene oxide planes having an inter plane spacing of 0.335-0.5 nm, a thickness of greater than 10 nm, an electrical conductivity of 1500-15000 S/cm, a thermal conductivity of 600-1807 W/mk, and a physical density of greater than 1.8 g/cm3, and an oxygen content of 0.01-10 wt.%, where an average mis-orientation angle between two graphene oxide planes is less than 10 degrees . USE - The system is useful in: a power tool; a microelectronic or telecommunication device including mobile phone, tablet, laptop computer and LCD display; or LED lighting device or system (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The system utilizes the graphene monolith, which has an inter plane spacing of 0.335-0.5 nm, a thickness of greater than 10 nm, an electrical conductivity of 1500-15000 S/cm, a thermal conductivity of 600-1807 W/mk and a physical density of greater than 1.8 g/cm3; and the heat spreader which has a thickness of 10 nm to 200 mu m, a density of 1.8-2.1 g/cm3, a tensile strength of 40-121 MPa and a Rockwell hardness of 34-88 (claimed).
