NOVELTY - Preparation of silicon-graphene framework composite material involves uniformly dispersing asphalt, silicon powder and transition metal salt in organic solvent, drying, and carbonizing obtained precursor under hydrogen-inert gas atmosphere to obtain a graphene framework composite material inlaid with silicon and transition metal nanoparticles. USE - Preparation of silicon-graphene framework composite material used for preparing positive electrode of lithium-ion battery, and composite electrode (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides high-conductivity silicon-graphene frame composite material with high specific capacity and excellent cycle stability as the lithium ion battery positive electrode. The method has simple synthesis, the used raw materials are commercial products and the asphalt is used as chemical industry large by-product, and the cost is low. The material shows excellent electrochemical performance after being matched with lithium metal electrode as lithium metal negative electrode the first ring coulomb efficiency reaches 87% after circulating 300 circles at current density of 2 A/g and still has specific capacity of 1361mAhour/g. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a composite electrode.
