▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - An electrode comprises carbon electrode, and a nitrogen functional group substituted on the carbon electrode. The nitrogen functional group contains at least one selected from a pyridonic-N functional group and a nitro functional group. USE - Electrode used in vanadium-based redox flow battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The carbon electrode has good reactivity with vanadium ions resulting in oxidation/reduction reactions, and improves performance of redox flow battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the electrode, which involves injecting nitrogen gas into the reactor to form a nitrogen atmosphere, preparing a nitrided carbon electrode by reacting a carbon electrode and ammonia gas in a reactor, and preparing a carbon electrode (c1) containing a nitrogen functional group by reacting the nitrided carbon electrode with an acid solution.
