NOVELTY - A composite material comprises reinforcing component added to magnesium alloy matrix. The reinforcing component is made of carbon nanotubes, silicon carbide, boron carbide and graphene. The magnesium alloy matrix comprises 4-12 wt.% gadolinium, 2-6 wt.% yttrium, 0.5-2.5 wt.% silicon, 0.3-0.9 wt.% grain refiner, 0-3 wt.% optimizing agent and remaining magnesium. The grain refiner is zirconium or manganese, and the optimizing agent is zinc or neodymium. USE - Composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite utilizes the interaction between strengthening phase and dislocation, and twins and grain boundaries, to greatly improve the elastic modulus of magnesium alloy, and deeply excavates the strength potential of magnesium alloy to the maximum extent, maintaining the toughness of magnesium alloy, and to further reduce the density of magnesium alloy.
