NOVELTY - Ultra-low density natural compound clumping cat litter comprises e.g. 60.5-68.3 pts. wt. acrylic acid, 71.2-76.5 pts. wt. acrylamide, 42.5-46.1 pts. wt. potassium hydroxide, 65.3-68.8 pts. wt. natural nano bentonite, 1.2-1.8 pts. wt. surface crosslinking agent, 1.6-1.8 pts. wt. initiator, 40.6-45.2 pts. wt. modified aerogel, and 13.6-18.5 parts of composite odor removing agent. The modified aerogel is prepared by: (1) crushing cotton fiber, soaking crushed cotton fiber in a 2 wt.% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, and filtering crushed cotton fiber and transferring to 18 wt.% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, stirring and filtering at room temperature, and washing cotton fibers, and drying in an oven to a constant weight to obtain modified cotton fibers, (2) dispersing modified cotton fiber in an ethanol solution, and adding 10 wt.% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution and polyepichlorohydrin dimethylamine dropwise to ethanol solution, stirring, and reacting, adjusting pH of system. USE - Used as ultra-low density natural compound clumping cat litter. ADVANTAGE - The clumping cat litter: is economical; improves absorption effect of cat excrement through modified aerogel; and uses active carbon as raw material for removing odor and peculiar smell. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Ultra-low density natural compound clumping cat litter comprises 60.5-68.3 pts. wt. acrylic acid, 71.2-76.5 pts. wt. acrylamide, 42.5-46.1 pts. wt. potassium hydroxide, 65.3-68.8 pts. wt. natural nano bentonite, 1.2-1.8 pts. wt. surface crosslinking agent, 1.6-1.8 pts. wt. initiator, 40.6-45.2 pts. wt. modified aerogel, and 13.6-18.5 parts of composite odor removing agent. The modified aerogel is prepared by: (1) crushing cotton fiber, soaking crushed cotton fiber in a 2 wt.% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, and filtering crushed cotton fiber and transferring to 18 wt.% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, stirring and filtering at room temperature, and washing cotton fibers, and drying in an oven to a constant weight to obtain modified cotton fibers, (2) dispersing modified cotton fiber in an ethanol solution, and adding 10 wt.% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution and polyepichlorohydrin dimethylamine dropwise to ethanol solution, stirring, and reacting, adjusting pH of system to neutral, filtering and washing with methanol and ethanol in sequence, and drying to constant weight to obtain intermediate 1, (3) placing intermediate 1 in deionized water, stirring under a nitrogen atmosphere, adding cerium ammonium nitrate, stirring reaction, adding 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid and reacting for 1 hour, heating mixture to 50 degrees C and reacting for 2 hours, filtering and washing with deionized water, acetone and ether, and drying to constant weight to obtain intermediate 2, and (4) dispersing intermediate 2 in deionized water, and after sonicating graphene oxide aqueous solution, dropping graphene oxide aqueous solution into aqueous solution of intermediate 2, stirring, and adjusting pH of mixed solution to neutral, ultrasonically treating mixed solution and allowing to stand to obtain a gel-type sample, freezing gel-type sample, and drying sample for 36 hours to obtain a modified aerogel. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing ultra-low density natural compound clumping cat litter comprising (i) adding natural nano-base bentonite into water to disperse uniformly, adding acrylic acid into natural nano-base bentonite aqueous solution, stirring uniformly, adding potassium hydroxide to neutralize, allowing to stand under constant temperature water bath condition to obtain second product, (ii) adding acrylamide into second product, stirring, dissolving, and adding surface crosslinking agent and initiator under nitrogen atmosphere reaction, orderly adding modified aerogel and composite odor removing agent, stirring and dispersing uniformly to obtain third product, and (iii) extruding third product, drying, crushing dried material into granulator for granulate to obtain ultra-low density natural compound clumping cat litter.
