NOVELTY - The preparation of hydrophobic oil-absorbing modified sponge composite material involves (1) adding polyvinyl alcohol hollow microspheres to aqueous graphene oxide solution, stirring evenly, adding tetraethyl orthosilicate and sodium polyacrylate, ultrasonically vibrating, adding sponge, soaking for 20-30 minutes and forming several membranes inside and outside the sponge, (2) reducing, washing, removing polyvinyl alcohol hollow microspheres by heating at 1300-1400 degrees C and forming pores on film to obtain graphene composite sponge, (3) mixing tetrapropoxysilane, vinyl triethoxysilane and benzene diisooctyl phosphite and stirring to prepare immersion solution, adding graphene composite sponge to immersion solution, heating the mixture at 120-140 degrees C for 20-30 minutes, taking out and draining. USE - Preparation of hydrophobic oil-absorbing modified sponge composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of hydrophobic oil-absorbing modified sponge composite material ensuring improved hydrophobic and oil absorption properties.
