▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Making active molecular filters comprises: (a) taking a measured amount of a substrate in a reaction vessel and activating it, and (b) functionalization of the substrate by mixing with measured amount of at least an impregnate to form a molecular filter media, where reducing or oxidizing agent is added at the functionalization step as per required application and activity of molecular filters and a binder being, optionally, added to immobilize soluble ions inside the molecular filter media. USE - The method is useful for making active molecular filters, which is used in gas and water system to control and catalysis of air and water pollution. ADVANTAGE - The method: provides filters with high surface area comprise of a large number of reacting sites with high content of reagents, hence maximum amount of pollutants can be trapped, removes ethylene, oxygen, radioactivity, and heavy metals; controls humidity; ensures metals impregnation, in turn with no leaching out of the metals and stable coating; has antimicrobial, gas-phase transfer, and catalytic properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for active molecular filter, comprising at least a porous substrate material, and at least an impregnate, where the impregnate is a metal, or organic, or inorganic molecule for functionalization of the porous substrate.
