NOVELTY - A magnetic nitrogen doped reduction graphene oxide composite catalyst is prepared by taking urea as nitrogen source and reducing agent, mixing with magnetic graphene oxide and carrying out hydrothermal reaction. USE - Magnetic nitrogen doped reduction graphene oxide composite catalyst used in degradation of organic pollutants in wastewater (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The magnetic nitrogen doped reduction graphene oxide composite catalyst is prepared by easy and environmentally-friendly process, and has high catalytic degradation effect and wide application range, achieves efficient removal of waterborne refractory organic pollutants, and produces highly active sulfate radicals. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of magnetic nitrogen doped reduction graphene oxide composite catalyst, which involves dispersing magnetic graphene oxide and urea in aqueous solution for hydrothermal reaction; and (2) usage of magnetic nitrogen doped reduction graphene oxide composite catalyst in degradation of organic pollutants in wastewater, which involves mixing magnetic nitrogen doping reduced graphene composite catalyst and persulfate with waste water containing refractory organic contaminants for catalytic degradation.
