NOVELTY - Manufacture of graphene involves preprocessing graphite using concentrated sulfuric acid, filtering, washing using water, oxidizing graphite using potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide, peeling the graphite oxide to form graphene oxide, carrying out photo-catalytic reduction of graphene oxide using photo-catalyst containing organic hydride donor, ascorbic acid derivative, amine derivative, alcohol derivative or inorganic hydride donor in aqueous solution or acetonitrile solution containing organic dye or metal complex dye, filtering, washing with water and acetone. USE - Manufacture of graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene is manufactured efficiently with high-reduction degree in short reaction time without using stabilizing agents. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacture of graphene involves preprocessing graphite using concentrated sulfuric acid at 75-85 degrees C, filtering, washing using water, oxidizing graphite using 8-12 g potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide, peeling the obtained graphite oxide to form graphene oxide, carrying out photo-catalytic reduction of graphene oxide under visible light irradiation condition using photo-catalyst containing organic hydride donor, ascorbic acid derivative, amine derivative, alcohol derivative or inorganic hydride donor in aqueous solution or acetonitrile solution containing organic dye or metal complex dye, filtering, washing with water and acetone.
