▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Method for removing mercury (II) by graphene quantum dots (GQDs) coated carbon material, involves (a) synthesizing hydroxyl rich GQDs, (b) coating the synthesized GQDs on carbon material by dropcasting the aqueous solution of GQDs, and (c) soaking the GQDs coated carbon material in mercury (II) solutions to adsorb mercury (II), where the GQDs coated carbon material acts as a nano-filter for removing mercury (II) by adsorbing the mercury (II) present in the solution and forming mercury (0) on the surface of the GQDs coated carbon material by reduction. USE - The method is used for removing mercury (II) by GQDs coated carbon material. ADVANTAGE - The GQDs coated carbon material removes highly toxic mercury (II) by reducing to less toxic mercury (0) through the adsorption of mercury (II) on GQDs followed by the formation of mercury (0) through mercury (I).
