NOVELTY - Preparing quantum dot/peroxide composite material involves mixing solution containing quantum dots with salt solution uniformly, and then adding alkaline precipitant and hydrogen peroxide to the mixed solution. The peroxide is generated by the peroxidation reaction, where the peroxide and the quantum dots are composited in situ at the same time. The reaction is completed by centrifugal separation, washing and drying to obtain the quantum dot/peroxide composite material. The zinc salt, magnesium salt and calcium salt are dissolved in the salt solution. USE - Method for preparing quantum dot/peroxide composite material for achieving fenton-like reaction to degrade organic pollutants without external energy excitation, for visible light catalytic degradation of organic pollutants, for remediating complex pollution having pathogenic microorganisms, organic pollutants and heavy metals and for preparing a tumor cell proliferation inhibitor, and as an adsorbent to remove heavy metals from water, as stabilizer to stabilize heavy metals in soil, or as antibacterial bactericide to kill pathogenic microorganisms (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method prepares the quantum dot/peroxide composite material for remediating complex pollution in a simple, cost-effective and eco-friendly manner with wide application range.
