NOVELTY - Isolated graphene sheets are produced by mixing multiple particles of graphitic material and multiple particles of solid carrier material to form mixture in impacting chamber of energy impacting apparatus, operating energy impacting apparatus with frequency and intensity for length of time sufficient for peeling off graphene sheets from graphitic material and transferring graphene sheets to surfaces of solid carrier material particles to produce graphene-coated solid carrier particles inside impacting chamber, and separating graphene sheets from surfaces of solid carrier material particles. USE - Production of isolated graphene sheets. ADVANTAGE - Amount of undesirable chemical is reduced, process time is shortened, energy consumption is reduced, and degree of graphene oxidation is lowered.
