NOVELTY - Manufacture of modified cotton fibers involves treating cotton fibers with alkali, washing to neutral, preparing a modified slurry comprising a graphene material and a dyestuff, soaking the treated cotton fibers in the modified slurry and processing resultant fibers. USE - Manufacture of modified cotton fibers for forming article e.g. textile, underwear, socks, thermal-insulation clothes and protective clothing (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of modified cotton fibers having improved binding between graphite and cotton fibers. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for article, which comprises yarn and fabric obtained by processing modified cotton fibers.
