NOVELTY - Use of mullite-type composite oxide compound (I) as a catalyst for catalytic treatment of ozone, is claimed. USE - The mullite-type composite oxide compound (I) is used as catalyst for catalytic treatment of ozone for ozone purification products such as household air purifier, waste water processor, exhaust gas treatment device, medical ozone removal equipment, purple lamp ozone protection device and equipment coating material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The compound (I) has excellent catalytic ozone decomposing effect, ensures extremely high stability of ozone treatment and long service life, does not contain precious metals, and is economical. The method is simple to operate and suitable for large-scale ozone decomposition treatment in different industries and various environmental conditions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Use of mullite-type composite oxide compound of formula (I): AM2O5as a catalyst for catalytic treatment of ozone, is claimed. A=lanthanide metal elements, Bi and/or Y;and M=first transition system transition metal elements. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an ozone purification product is obtained by applying the catalyst in a household air purifier, a waste water processor, an exhaust gas treatment device, a medical ozone removal equipment, a purple lamp ozone protection device and an equipment coating material.
