NOVELTY - Creating nanopore on membrane involves fabricating a mask with nano-tunnel through it. The mask is placed over the membrane. The mask is bombarded with ions. The membrane is bombarded with the ions passing through the nano-tunnel, and the nanopore is created on it. USE - Method for creating nanopore on membrane, fabricating nanopores on membrane for use in two-dimensional membrane (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables making two-dimensional nanomaterial with periodic nanopores using a bombarding projectile that survives from being crushed or deformed if it hits the tunnel wall at a glancing angle during fabrication of the nanopores. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a method for fabricating nanopores on a membrane, which involves: (a) bombarding the membrane with C60 ions through nano-tunnel formed through a mask positioned on it, and fabricating the nanopores; (2) a two-dimensional membrane with nanopore, which is fabricated.
