NOVELTY - The method for preparing porous manganese sulfide and graphene composite material involves (a) adding 10-50 ml graphene oxide having a concentration of 5-10 mg/ml to 100-200 ml distilled water and ultrasonically treating at a power of 45 W in an ultrasonic machine for 1-3 hours to obtain a uniform graphene oxide suspension, (b) adding 3-5 g manganese source, 2-5 g sulfur source and 0.2-1 g urea to suspension, placing the mixed solution on a double-display thermostatic magnetic stirrer and magnetically stirring for 0.5 hour to obtain an uniform mixture, (c) transferring the mixture to a reaction kettle, drying at 160-200 degrees C for 24 hours, cooling to room temperature, washing 3 times with water and ethanol and vacuum-drying at 80 degrees C overnight to obtain a black solid powder, and (d) placing the solid powder in a tube furnace and calcining at a temperature of 300-500 degrees C and heating rate of 3 degrees C/minute under nitrogen conditions for 4 hours. USE - Method is useful for preparing porous manganese sulfide and graphene composite material, which is useful in lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The composite material has excellent electrical conductivity and structural stability, and improves charge and discharge characteristics, cycle stability and rate performance of the lithium ion battery.
