NOVELTY - Metal oxide/graphene composite catalyst includes metal oxide as copper-zinc-aluminum mixed metal oxide, and is uniformly dispersed on the reduced graphene oxide in a layered hydrotalcite structure. USE - Metal oxide/graphene composite catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The metal oxide/graphene composite catalyst can effectively solve the problems of easy deactivation of the existing catalyst, low carbon dioxide conversion rate and low formaldehyde selectivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing metal oxide/graphene composite catalyst, which involves: (A) adding freeze-dried graphene oxide to a mixed solution of ethanol and water to obtain solution A after ultrasonic treatment; (B) dissolving copper (II) nitrate trihydrate, zinc nitrate hexahydrate and aluminum nitrate nonahydrate in water to obtain solution B; (C) dissolving sedum hydroxide and sodium carbonate in water to obtain solution C; (D) adding solution B and solution C to solution A; (E) transferring the resulting mixed solution into the reaction vessel under sealing and heating; (F) cooling the reaction vessel to room temperature; (G) filtering the resulting solution by using absolute ethanol and water to obtain composite of copper-zinc-aluminum hydrotalcite and reduced graphene oxide; (H) roasting the obtained composite in a reaction vessel under protection of inert gas; and (I) naturally cooling at room temperature to obtain the composite of copper-zinc-aluminum mixed metal oxide and reduced graphene oxide.
