NOVELTY - Anode-free zinc metal battery comprises anode, separator, cathode current collector loaded with zwitterionic polymer binder (I) and electrolyte, where negative current collector loaded with zwitterionic polymer binder is prepared by taking N-methylpyrrolidone as solvent, mixing and grinding the coating material and zwitterionic polymer (I), then coating the slurry on the surface of negative electrode current collector substrate, vacuum drying, and then depositing zinc on the surface of the current collector coated with coating material and zwitterionic polymer (I) using electrodeposition method. USE - The anode-free zinc metal battery is useful in zwitterionic polymer as binder (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The anode-free zinc metal battery: achieves uniform zinc deposition and high plating/stripping efficiency; and improves the energy density and cycle performance of the battery.
