▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Phase change material comprises thermally conductive platelet material dispersed in a matrix. The matrix has a melting point between 0-200 degrees C and a heat of fusion greater than about 150 kiloJoules/kg. USE - Phase change material for lithium ion batteries, textiles, energy storage materials, transport of temperature sensitive goods and construction materials. ADVANTAGE - The phase change material helps in passively managing excessive temperature fluctuations and has high thermal conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included: (1) for a method for preparing phase change material which involves exfoliating a thermally conducting laminar material in water in the presence of a surfactant to generate a dispersion of a thermally conductive platelet material in water, dispersing or dissolving phase change matrix in the dispersion and removing water from dispersion to obtain phase change material; and (2) for a method for maintaining an object at a substantially constant temperature comprising maintaining object in thermal contact with a phase change material.
