NOVELTY - A low-cost fluorescent graphene material comprises 14.28-16.27 wt.% sodium nitrate, 27.90-28.57 wt.% carbon, 55.81-57.14 wt.% potassium permanganate, and balance inevitable impurities. USE - Low-cost fluorescent graphene material. ADVANTAGE - The graphene material increases sales, and has lower cost. The method has reduced pollution and production costs. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the graphene material comprising grinding 5-7 pts. wt. sodium nitrate and 10-12 pts. wt. graphite into powder; adding 100 mL concentrated sulfuric acid to container, placing to ice bath, adding sodium nitrate powder, stirring until dissolved completely, placing thermometer to container, slowly adding graphite powder, constantly stirring, adding 20-24 pts. wt. potassium permanganate at rate of 1 pt. wt./second, and removing container from ice bath; placing to water bath to control temperature at 35 degrees C for 1.5 hours, slowly adding 100 mL distilled water, keep stirring to increase temperature of water bath to 95 degrees C, continuously stirring for 20 minutes, adding 50 mL distilled water and 20 wt.% hydrogen peroxide, and filtering while hot; washing precipitate with 10 wt.% hydrochloric acid, filtering, drying, adding dried solid to heating box, and insulating at 200 degrees C for 40 minutes; and concentrating filtrate, adding excess magnesium sulfate, and recovering concentrated sulfuric acid.
