NOVELTY - Method for synergistically strengthening lipophilic property of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fiber involves pre-cleaning PTFE fiber and graphene oxide, soaking pre-cleaned PTFE fiber in a sulfuric acid solution, carbonizing, washing, drying, obtaining microporous PTFE fiber, adding carbon nanotubes to a mixed acid solution formed by mixing concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid, acidifying, washing, drying, obtaining acidified carbon nanotubes, adding pre-cleaned graphene oxide to a mixture of ethanol and dilute sulfuric acid, then adding a silane coupling agent, performing silylation graft modification process, washing, drying, dispersing obtained hydrophobic graphene oxide powder in absolute ethanol, ultrasonically processing, stirring, adding the acidified carbon nanotubes, ultrasonically processing, stirring, placing the microporous PTFE fiber in the obtained hydrophobic graphene oxide/carbon nanotube mixed solution, washing, and drying. USE - Method for synergistically strengthening lipophilic property of polytetrafluoroethylene fiber used for separating industrial oily wastewater. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the lipophilic performance of the modified PTFE fiber, thus enabling efficient separation of industrial oily wastewater.
