NOVELTY - Manufacture of large-area graphene oxide involves expanding graphite by mixing graphite with acid and processing in a microwave reactor and then mixing expanded graphite and oxidizing agent in weight ratio of 25:0.2-0.5. USE - Manufacture of large-area graphene oxide used for forming transparent electrode (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method economically provides large-area graphene oxide.
