NOVELTY - The method involves producing cavitation in a liquid medium comprising a diaromatic component and carrying a dispersion of the substrate particles to synthesize the one or more graphene layers from the diaromatic component on the substrate particles. USE - Method for preparing graphene nanomaterials and substrate-bound graphene materials. ADVANTAGE - The synthesis offers potential for the fabrication of advantageous graphene nanomaterials all the way down to the dimensions of graphene quantum dots. It also allows formation of one or more graphene layers on substrate particles to provide substrate-borne graphene materials.
