NOVELTY - Aerogel is prepared by crosslinking mixture of polyamic acid and graphene oxide with cobalt salt and carbonizing to obtain the product. USE - The aerogel is used in supercapacitor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The aerogel has high specific capacity and excellent rate performance, and is simple to process and operate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the aerogel involving (i) dissolving aqueous-soluble polyamic acid in aqueous graphene oxide solution and stirring to obtain graphene oxide/polyamic acid hydrogel solution, (ii) adding graphene oxide/polyamic acid hydrogel solution obtained in step (i) to cobalt salt solution, stirring to obtain cobalt salt/graphene oxide/polyamic acid hydrogel, where the mass ratio of the cobalt salt to aqueous-soluble polyamic acid in step (i) is 0-0.3, and the mass ratio is not 0, (iii) freezing the cobalt salt/graphene oxide/polyamic acid hydrogel in liquid nitrogen, freeze-drying to obtain cobalt salt/ graphene oxide/polyamic acid aerogel, and (iv) performing imidization process on cobalt salt/graphene oxide/polyamic acid aerogel, and carbonizing to obtain the product.
