NOVELTY - Preparing mesoporous graphene comprises (a) taking magnesium powder and carbonate powder as raw material, mixing in a mol ratio of 1:4-2:1, mixing uniformly, pressing into block, placing the obtained pressing block in the liner of the sealed container, (b) placing the sealed container filled with magnesium and carbonate pressure block into a high temperature furnace, raising the temperature to 650-800 degrees C, reacting for 10-90 minutes, cooling to room temperature to obtain the black grey powder, (c) reacting the black grey powder with diluted acid, reacting for 12-36 hours, using deionized water to filter and wash to neutral, obtaining the filter cake, drying the obtained filter cake and drying to obtain the product. USE - The graphene is useful in electrochemical energy storage electrode material and catalytic material. ADVANTAGE - The method: does not have the problems of sheet stacking and agglomeration that are common in the preparation process of graphene; does not require argon protection; has high utilization rate of magnesium powder; is low cost and is easy to scale production and promotion. The graphene has rich mesopores and good electrochemical stability.
