NOVELTY - Preparing ferroso ferric oxide/graphene quantum dot (Fe3O4/GQD) nanocatalyst involves depositing Fe3O4 nanoparticles on GQD by coprecipitation method. USE - Method for preparing ferroso ferric oxide/graphene quantum dot nanocatalyst for catalytically degrading organic contaminants such as dyes, pesticides, hormones, and persistent organic pollutants in water by a Fenton reaction (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nanocatalyst prepared by the method has simple preparation method, low cost, high macropreparation, high catalytic activity, and is expected to be used for purification of low concentration and difficult to treat organic wastewater. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for using Fe3O4/GQD nanocatalyst for catalytically degrading organic contaminants in water by a Fenton reaction.
