NOVELTY - Manufacture of braid-reinforced separator involves coating a coating solution on a polymer support, soaking the coated polymer support in a coagulation bath, washing, and drying. The coating solution contains a base resin chosen from polysulfone, polyethersulfone, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyacrylonitrile, polytetrafluoroethylene, and polypropylene, graphene, adhesion promoter(s) chosen from polyoxyethylene alkyl aryl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene alkyl ester, polyoxyethylene alkyl amine, alkyl ester, alkyl phosphate, alkyl sulfosuccinate, alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, alkylammonium salt, and amine oxide, and a polyfunctional compound chosen from 1,5-pentanediol (meth)acrylate, 1,6-hexanediol (meth)acrylate, 1,9-nonandadiol (meth)acrylate, polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, polypropylene glycol (meth)acrylate, pentaerythritol tri(meth)acrylate, pentaerythritol tetra(meth)acrylate and trimethylolpropane triacrylate. USE - Manufacture of braid-reinforced separator used for wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical industry, and reverse osmosis pretreatment. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of braid-reinforced separator having excellent adhesiveness between the polymer support and the coating layer, physical properties, chemical properties, mechanical strength, and hydrodynamic resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacture of braid-reinforced separator involves forming a coating solution, coating the coating solution on a polymer support using a nozzle provided with an ultrasonic vibration unit, soaking the coated polymer support in a coagulation bath, washing, and drying. The coating solution contains a base resin chosen from polysulfone, polyethersulfone, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyacrylonitrile, polytetrafluoroethylene, and polypropylene, 6-10 wt.% graphene, 1-10 wt.% adhesion promoter(s) chosen from polyoxyethylene alkyl aryl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene alkyl ester, polyoxyethylene alkyl amine, alkyl ester, alkyl phosphate, alkyl sulfosuccinate, alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, alkylammonium salt, and amine oxide, and 10-50 wt.% polyfunctional compound chosen from 1,5-pentanediol (meth)acrylate, 1,6-hexanediol (meth)acrylate, 1,9-nonandadiol (meth)acrylate, polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, polypropylene glycol (meth)acrylate, cyclohexanedimethanol di(meth)acrylate, tricyclodecanedimethanol diacrylate, trimethylolpropane tri(meth)acrylate, pentaerythritol tri(meth)acrylate, pentaerythritol tetra(meth)acrylate and trimethylolpropane triacrylate.
